Bisa Aberwa Museum is a not-for-profit, non-governmental institution dedicated to preserving the history of the Black race, promoting African values, celebrating Pan African heroes and inspiring the youth and generations yet unborn.
The Museum is created to be one of the largest sculptural representations in clay, wood, cement, paintings and photographs of those whose sacrifices have shaped African history, both within the continent and the diaspora. Its cutting-edge exhibits in sculpture, sound-bites and visual presentations are meant to make every visit an interactive experience.
The over 2,000 exhibits take visitors on a journey through Africa — before, during and after the slave trade era — showing the outstanding heroism, the intellectual direction of our ancestors, and the skills and contributions that paved the way for modern civilization.
